Trillvill Gets Thumbs UP In Da Nor Hot 107.1 FM free concert and celebrity basketball event was all thumbs up in North Memphis, TN when Trillville the south new crunkness from Atlanta, Georgia performed their riotous and addictive single “Neva Eva” for the first time in Memphis. The free community event, sponsor in part by Pepsi Cola, took place in Douglass Park, which is considered one of the crunkest parts of Memphis.While the audience was waiting for Trillville to arrived on stage ,DJ Boogaloo, Hot 107.1’s FM Jock Burner , held down the crunk atmosphere by provoking the crowd to raise their thumbs up in the air as a Project Pat's vinyl classic blared through the speakers. When Trillville arrived on stage and their music begin to rage from the speakers, the audience, compressed together like match sticks in a box, begin to sway like trees in a bad thunder storm with their thumbs pointing to the sky throughout Trillville hype performance. The security worked desperately to keep the crunk crowd from pulling the group off the stage. Trillville took advantage of ever inch of the makeshift stage in Douglass park as they bounce from one end of the stage to other end while their fans chanted endlessly “Get On My Level"the hook to the group song “Neva Eva”. Trillville is receiving a lot of love in the Memphis , TN. Their single “Neva Eva” is begin play on Memphis’ two Hip-Hop stations K-97 FM and Hot 107.1 FM. The song at press time is number one on Hot 107.1 FM play list . Since their successful performance at Doughlass Park, the group has been booked for performances at Memphis popular hip-hop venues like the Hard Rock Café “Old Skool Sunday” and the Spot nightclub. The group’s popularity is growing rapidly in the Mid South and throughout the nation. Triville will debut their CD on Warner Brother records entitled “Welcome to Triville” scheduled for the February 1st of 2004. Trillville's "Neva Eva" will premiere on MTV'S Direct Effect on 12/15/2003! Lil Larry, Hot 107.1 FM radio personality, is credited for breaking Trillville in the Memphis market through his Sipping on Sunday DJ gig. Rapper Yo Gotti , Young Trojan and Lil Scrappy were other performers that added crunkness flavor to the community event. Young Trojan hailing from South Parkway and Yo Gotti hailing from the North part of Memphis performed the hot single “Prime Suspect” during the event.
